Even with all the criticism that they have gone through, the Ohio State Buckeyes 
lived up to their number one overall seed in the tournament and are headed to their 
second consecutive BCS Championship game; they are awaiting the result’s of tonight’s 
Orange Bowl game between #2 LSU and #6 USC, which should be a close contest.  The 
Bucks scored the first twenty-four points of the game unanswered and took a 24-3 lead 
into halftime.  The Gators tried to stage a miraculous comeback, but it was not meant 
for.  Todd Boeckman, Ohio State quarterback, playing an amazing game finishing with a 
248.3 QB rating, throwing 11/14 attempts for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns earning him 
the Most Valuable Player award of the 2008 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.  Chris “Beanie” 
Wells also had a great game for the Bucks on the ground with 168 yards on 23 carries 
and 2 touchdowns.  These Bucks won this handily because they played mistake free on 
the offensive side of the ball and took control of their opportunities the entire 
game.
